Archeage Hallowtide Event Guide

Let me first mention that this is a WiP (work in progress) guide, a translation and update of the original Russian guide, released a while back.

DISCLAIMER

I took some time to check out both RU and KR versions regarding this, and this guide does not detail the official statements (about to be released) and should be taken as general clues to be aware of.

This guide is prone to eventual changes,
to how Trion decides to apply/tweak
the Hallowtide patch
received from XL Games

So, what to expect from Archeage's Hallowtide event, a seasonal update targeting all Halloween buffs out there?

Well, ignoring the fact that Trion will rush for the $$$ hunt, let's blind rush into Hallowtide's content novelty.

According to the Russian guide, XL Games threw this Hallowtide party in the range of October 16th - November 6th. Trion announced Hallowtide running from October 21st till the day when Auroria is released to the players, via a patch. Personally, I think the end of Hallowtide will coincide with November 6th, but don't shoot me if it ends earlier or later.

HALLOWTIDE ITEMS HYPE

The Vampire Costume ("Bloody Banquet")

The guide states that the vampire costume will be available via marketplace purchase (maybe this version, that gives you the costume + some loyalty tokens), with an X amount of credits, subject to NA/EU change.

Similar to current costumes @ Archeage marketplace, one costume set automatically changes visuals according to character gender.

Now, here's what's interesting: Trion objected that all costumes be stripped of their specific stats, but the vampire costume has a special proc, triggered by abilities, to get some % HP recovery from damaging enemies, a lifeleech (vampire)

I'm wondering if this proc will survive in the patch, or be completely stripped. Cuz if it won't, this costume will be one of the best to own, you'd be a fool not to get one during the Hallowtide Event.

The lifeleech (vampire) visual spell proc can be observed in this screenshot:

I'm anxious to find out the exact lifeleech % HP restored, aren't you?!

Marketplace specific Halloween chest

Whatever it'll be called, this will surely be the main source of mad $$$ for Trion. Here's why!

This specific Hallowtide chest contain gear and weapons, with actual stats and bonuses. The chest will yield a certain drop rate.

The Archeage Item database lists the "Spooky Chest" box, and its content led me to believe this is the right box that will be available to purchasers during Hallowtide.

Have a gander at its contents:

Hereafter Battle Cloth Armor Chest contains these: head, chest, pants
(3set bonus: -2.6% reduced cast & mana regen +2)

Visuals:

Hereafter Battle Leather Armor Chest contains these: head, chest, pants
(3 set bonus: + 2.6% critical rate & +270 magic defense)

Visuals:

Hereafter Battle Plate Armor Chest contains these: head, chest, pants
(3set bonus: +2 health regen)(the Russian version of this item has +6% dmg!)

Visuals:

The Russian item database states that these sets could be obtained by completing specific quests that reward the player with a Divine Key that can be traded to a Divine Key Exchanger in Mirage Isle. Dunno if final, but you should check the "Quest Reward" tab of the key: most of the quests require the player to kill certain elites or instance bosses, maybe as a method of getting the sets outside Hallowtide season?!

The weapon skin visuals are rather enticing, and they could prove nice transmog material.

Check the previous images, for visuals of:
bow
1h dagger
1h sword
2h staff

Here are the greatsword, shield and flute:

Misc (utility) items

The Hallowtide themed Fishing Rod

A special fishing rod that expires after 100 days of usage. Need I say more? I'll leave you with this pic:

The Spooky Streetlight

This Hallowtide specific decoration can be placed near player houses, a streetlight providing some shining to scare the ghouls away. The Russian guide states this decoration will disappear after the event is over, but who knows?!

Decorative hats

Hats contained in this box come in a variety of colors and help augment your farming efforts, by lowering the production time by 5%. Not much, but every bit helps.

Also, for a Halloween themed event, the visuals are rather funny and "offtopic":

The Star Cake is a lie

I'm referring to this unboxed item, the star cake. Since the cake will be a seasonal treat, lots of folks will stack up on these. Who wouldn't?

Screw the Worker's Compensation!!!! Gief cake, plox!

Armor/Weapon Regrade Scrolls

The Spooky Chest can also yield rare weapon/armor regrade scrolls, with a small chance of getting a regrade scroll of resplendent quality.

Hallowtide specific hat transmogs

As soon as the event is active, players should receive an introductive quest, with a tasty reward, a candy. This candy can be used to craft several seasonal transmogs for the head piece (visually, either a spooky pumpkin or a witch pointy hat) or for 2h weapons (a dusty broom).

I don't know if this will be a daily quest, but since the transmog crafts require several pieces of candy, it might be a daily. The quest details mention that the mobs you need to kill appear at certain hours, so pay attention when farming them.

Misc

There are rumors about some giant cow available for purchase, although the giant cow is tied to another event that should have taken place in September.

Anyway, I can confirm is the fact that the COW is huuuuuugeeeee!

(Trion, don't you dare mess up with the model scale :P )

There were also some rumors about glider skins, but who cares about those?!

HALLOWTIDE - MAD GOLD

Stop thinking about not having a spot to place a farm/house and try to ignore Trion's grubby hands for a moment.

Focus on how you can get some of that gold for yourself.

Simple, yet efficient:
(safe) Buy costumes from marketplace --> Sell @ AH
(safe) Grind daily quests for cakes/candy --> Sell @ AH
(risky) Buy chests from marketplace --> Pray --> Open --> Get lucky --> Sell @ AH
(lucky) Buy costumes/chests/cakes/candy from AH --> Resell @ AH

Most productive method requires an account with 4-5 characters, especially for dailies.

Anywho, prices will differ from server to server, and the price of APEX will go nuts, cuz everyone needs those credits.

SPECIAL THOUGHTS

@Trion officials
I hope you indeed use some of the mad $$$ (you'll be getting via Hallowtide) to further improve hardware/server infrastructure, and maybe inquire into outsourcing for that customer support department.

P.S. When do we get that butler/maid outfit?

CREDITS

I can't throw this content out there without thanking the editors back @ archeagegame.ru for their hallowtide guide.

Took me some seconds to crop/save the images in a faster browser format and I also eye-gouged at some KR content, using Google Translate.

It also took me some hours to confirm/update the information, since RU version differed from KR one.

Let me reiterate: this is a work in progress, and I will do my best to update the information, pics, pricing as soon as the Hallowtide update is available for NA/EU folks.

To end this, I leave you with Archeage's official Hallowtide preview video:

(from the KR official Youtube channel)

AFTERMATH

Looks like Trion fucked up once again. Here's why...
